Dr. Matthias Nobbe

Dr. Matthias Nobbe finished his university studies with a science degree in chemistry at the Ruhr University in Bochum and was then awarded a doctorate in organic chemistry. After his admission as German and European Patent Attorney, Dr. Nobbe spent a decade as managing partner of the “Chemical / Biochemical Practice Group” of a world-wide patent law firm. After leaving this law firm and several years as CEO of a medium-sized enterprise, Dr. Nobbe founded the D&N offices in Duisburg, Mülheim and Hilden in co-operation with Dr. Demski. Dr. Nobbe is specialized in drafting patent applications, utility model applications and trademarks and enforcing these IP-rights.

In addition to his work as patent attorney, Dr. Nobbe has worked as associate lecturer for Intellectual Property Rights at the university of Duisburg-Essen since 1996.

Dr. Nobbe was member of the managing board of the Patent Lawyers’ Association from 2000 to 2003, and used to be a member of the bio-technology committee of the Patent Lawyer’s Association. Dr. Nobbe is a member of the Patent Lawyers’ Association, the EPI, GRUR, VPP, BVPA LES, PTMG and GdCH.
